Agreement to Our Legal Terms
We are HatAlign, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), a company registered in Delaware, United States, at 251 Little Falls Dr, Wilmington, DE 19808.
We operate the website https://hatalign.com (the "Site"), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (collectively, the "Services").
Alignment Resilience is a personalized AI career displacement assessment. Users upload their resume, answer 5 targeted questions, and receive a scored report showing which parts of their work are at risk from AI, what's still protected, and 2–3 concrete paths forward. Grounded in peer-reviewed research and live job market data. Report stored in your account.

These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HatAlign, Inc. concerning your access to and use of the Services. By accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
We reserve the right to make changes or modifications to these Legal Terms at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Services.
1. Our Services
The information provided when using the Services is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation.
The Services provide an AI-powered career displacement assessment. Users upload their resume and complete a personalized questionnaire. The platform uses artificial intelligence and published labor market research to generate a Career Resilience Report containing a resilience score, task-level exposure analysis, augmentation pressure analysis, durable career assets, and suggested paths forward. The report is informational only and does not constitute professional career advice, financial advice, or legal advice.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
Our intellectual property
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Services, including all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, text, photographs, and graphics (collectively, the "Content"), as well as the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the "Marks"). Our Content and Marks are protected by copyright and trademark laws. The Content and Marks are provided "AS IS" for your personal, non-commercial use only.
Your use of our Services
Subject to your compliance with these Legal Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Access the Services; and
- Download or print a copy of any portion of the Content to which you have properly gained access,
solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
No part of the Services may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express prior written permission. Any breach of these Intellectual Property Rights will constitute a material breach and your right to use our Services will terminate immediately.
Your resume and assessment data
You retain full ownership of your resume, questionnaire answers, and any other personal data you provide. By submitting this information, you grant HatAlign, Inc. a limited license to process it for the sole purpose of generating your Career Resilience Report and improving the accuracy of the assessment on an aggregate, anonymized basis, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
3. User Representations
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
- All registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete
- You will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update it as necessary
- You have the legal capacity and you agree to comply with these Legal Terms
- You are not a minor in the jurisdiction in which you reside
- You will not access the Services through automated or non-human means
- You will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Your use of the Services will not violate any applicable law or regulation
If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Services.
4. User Registration
You may be required to register to use the Services. You agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
5. Purchases and Payment
We accept the following forms of payment:
- Credit and debit cards processed via Stripe, Inc.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases. You further agree to promptly update account and payment information so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
All payments shall be in US dollars. We may change prices at any time. We reserve the right to correct any errors in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our sole discretion.
6. Refund Policy
48-hour satisfaction guarantee. We offer a 48-hour satisfaction guarantee on all Alignment Resilience Report purchases. If you are not satisfied with your report for any reason, email contact@hatalign.com within 48 hours of your purchase for a full refund. No questions asked.
Refund requests made after 48 hours are not eligible, as the report constitutes a delivered digital service and the computational work and AI processing are complete upon generation.
Free re-run within 7 days: One free re-run of the assessment is available from your account dashboard within 7 days of your original assessment. This accommodates cases where your resume was incomplete or you answered a question differently than intended. After 7 days, a new assessment is a new purchase at the standard price.
Technical issues: If a technical error on our part prevents you from accessing your generated report, please contact us at contact@hatalign.com and we will resolve the issue or issue a refund at our discretion.
7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The Career Resilience Report is generated using artificial intelligence and published labor market research. It is informational only.
Specifically:
- The report does not constitute professional career advice, financial advice, employment advice, or legal advice
- The report does not guarantee any employment outcome, salary outcome, or career result
- Users should not make major career or financial decisions based solely on this report without consulting qualified professionals
- AI capabilities and labor market conditions change over time; the assessment methodology is updated periodically but may not reflect the most current conditions at the time of your assessment
- The resilience score and exposure analysis are based on the Eloundou et al. (2024) peer-reviewed dataset and live market signal data; they represent a research-grounded estimate, not a precise prediction
HatAlign, Inc. expressly disclaims liability for any career or financial decisions made in reliance on the report's contents.
8. Prohibited Activities
You may not access or use the Services for any purpose other than that for which we make the Services available. As a user of the Services, you agree not to:
- Systematically retrieve data or content from the Services to create a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission
- Trick, defraud, or mislead us and other users
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Services
- Disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm us and/or the Services
- Use any information obtained from the Services to harass, abuse, or harm another person
- Make improper use of our support services or submit false reports
- Use the Services in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations
- Engage in unauthorized framing of or linking to the Services
- Upload or transmit viruses, Trojan horses, or other malicious material
- Engage in any automated use of the system, such as using scripts, data mining, robots, or similar tools
- Delete the copyright or other proprietary rights notice from any Content
- Attempt to impersonate another user or person
- Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Services
- Attempt to bypass any measures designed to prevent or restrict access
- Copy or adapt the Services' software
- Except as permitted by applicable law, decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any software comprising the Services
- Use the Services as part of any effort to compete with us or for any commercial enterprise without our express written consent
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit your Career Resilience Report or any portion thereof
9. User Submissions and Feedback
By directly sending us any question, comment, suggestion, idea, or feedback about the Services ("Submissions"), you agree to assign to us all intellectual property rights in such Submission. You agree that we shall own this Submission and be entitled to its unrestricted use for any lawful purpose, including product improvement, without acknowledgment or compensation to you.
You are solely responsible for your Submissions and you expressly agree to reimburse us for any and all losses that we may suffer because of your breach of this section, any third party's intellectual property rights, or applicable law.
10. Guidelines for Reviews and Testimonials
We may provide you with areas on the Services to leave reviews or ratings. When posting a review, you must comply with the following:
- You should have firsthand experience with the Services being reviewed
- Your reviews should not contain offensive, racist, or hateful language
- Your reviews should not contain discriminatory references
- Your reviews should not contain references to illegal activity
- You should not be affiliated with competitors if posting negative reviews
- You may not post any false or misleading statements
- You may not organize a campaign encouraging others to post reviews
We may accept, reject, or remove reviews in our sole discretion. By posting a review, you grant to us a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, modify, display, and distribute all content relating to the review, including for use as a testimonial on our website and marketing materials.
11. Third-Party Websites and Content
The Services may contain links to other websites ("Third-Party Websites") as well as content belonging to or originating from third parties ("Third-Party Content"). Such Third-Party Websites and Third-Party Content are not investigated, monitored, or checked for accuracy by us, and we are not responsible for any Third-Party Websites accessed through the Services. If you decide to leave the Services and access Third-Party Websites, you do so at your own risk.
12. Services Management
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to:
- Monitor the Services for violations of these Legal Terms
- Take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates the law or these Legal Terms
- Refuse, restrict access to, limit the availability of, or disable any of your Submissions or any portion thereof
- Remove from the Services or otherwise disable all files and content that are excessive in size or are burdensome to our systems
- Otherwise manage the Services in a manner designed to protect our rights and property
13. Privacy Policy
We care about data privacy and security. Please review our Privacy Policy at hatalign.com/privacy. By using the Services, you agree to be bound by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Legal Terms. We also use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy at hatalign.com/cookies.
Please be advised the Services are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from any other region of the world with laws governing personal data collection, use, or disclosure that differ from applicable laws in the United States, then through your continued use of the Services, you are transferring your data to the United States, and you expressly consent to have your data transferred to and processed in the United States.
14. Copyright Infringements
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any material available on or through the Services infringes upon any copyright you own or control, please immediately notify us at contact@hatalign.com. Please be advised that you may be held liable for damages if you make material misrepresentations in a notification.
15. Term and Termination
These Legal Terms shall remain in full force and effect while you use the Services. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO, IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION AND WITHOUT NOTICE OR LIABILITY, DENY ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SERVICES TO ANY PERSON FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, INCLUDING FOR BREACH OF ANY REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, OR COVENANT CONTAINED IN THESE LEGAL TERMS OR OF ANY APPLICABLE LAW OR REGULATION.
If we terminate or suspend your account for any reason, you are prohibited from registering and creating a new account under your name, a fake or borrowed name, or the name of any third party. In addition to terminating or suspending your account, we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action.
16. Modifications and Interruptions
We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Services at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Services.
We cannot guarantee the Services will be available at all times. You agree that we have no liability for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by your inability to access or use the Services during any downtime or discontinuance.
17. Governing Law
These Legal Terms and your use of the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
18. Dispute Resolution
Informal Negotiations
To expedite resolution and control the cost of any dispute, the Parties agree to first attempt to negotiate any Dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days before initiating arbitration. Such informal negotiations commence upon written notice from one Party to the other.
Binding Arbitration
If the Parties are unable to resolve a Dispute through informal negotiations, the Dispute will be finally and exclusively resolved by binding arbitration. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT WITHOUT THIS PROVISION, YOU WOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO SUE IN COURT AND HAVE A JURY TRIAL.
The arbitration shall be commenced and conducted under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") and, where appropriate, the AAA's Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes. The arbitration will take place in Delaware. In no event shall any Dispute be commenced more than one (1) year after the cause of action arose.
Restrictions
The Parties agree that any arbitration shall be limited to the Dispute between the Parties individually. No arbitration shall be joined with any other proceeding; there is no right for any Dispute to be arbitrated on a class-action basis or brought in a purported representative capacity.
Exceptions
The following Disputes are not subject to the above provisions: (a) any Disputes seeking to enforce or protect intellectual property rights; (b) any Dispute related to allegations of theft, piracy, invasion of privacy, or unauthorized use; and (c) any claim for injunctive relief.
19. Corrections
There may be information on the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information at any time, without prior notice.
20. Disclaimer
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN AS-IS AND AS-AVAILABLE BASIS. YOU AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES ABOUT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE SERVICES' CONTENT AND WE ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR ANY:
- ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR INACCURACIES OF CONTENT
- PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES
- UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SECURE SERVERS AND/OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN
- INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF TRANSMISSION TO OR FROM THE SERVICES
- BUGS, VIRUSES, OR THE LIKE TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE SERVICES BY ANY THIRD PARTY
- ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN ANY CONTENT
- ANY CAREER OR FINANCIAL DECISION MADE IN RELIANCE ON THE CAREER RESILIENCE REPORT OR ANY OTHER OUTPUT OF THE SERVICES
21. Limitations of Liability
IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFIT, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO US FOR THE SPECIFIC ASSESSMENT OR SERVICE THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM.
CERTAIN US STATE LAWS AND INTERNATIONAL LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
22. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless, including our subsidiaries, affiliates, and all of our respective officers, agents, partners, and employees, from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of:
- Your Submissions
- Use of the Services
- Breach of these Legal Terms
- Any breach of your representations and warranties
- Your violation of the rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights
- Any overt harmful act toward any other user of the Services
We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us.
23. User Data
We will maintain certain data that you transmit to the Services for the purpose of managing the performance of the Services. This includes your resume, questionnaire answers, and generated Career Resilience Report.
Although we perform regular routine backups of data, you are solely responsible for maintaining your own copies of data you transmit. We shall have no liability for any loss or corruption of data arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
24. Electronic Communications, Transactions, and Signatures
Visiting the Services, sending us emails, and completing online forms constitute electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications, and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing.
YOU HEREBY AGREE TO THE USE OF ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES, CONTRACTS, ORDERS, AND OTHER RECORDS, AND TO ELECTRONIC DELIVERY OF NOTICES, POLICIES, AND RECORDS OF TRANSACTIONS INITIATED OR COMPLETED BY US OR VIA THE SERVICES.
25. California Users and Residents
If any complaint with us is not satisfactorily resolved, you can contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, California 95834 or by telephone at (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.
26. Miscellaneous
These Legal Terms and any policies or operating rules posted by us on the Services constitute the entire agreement and understanding between you and us. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision.
We may assign any or all of our rights and obligations to others at any time. We shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, delay, or failure to act caused by any cause beyond our reasonable control. If any provision is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision is deemed severable and does not affect the validity of remaining provisions. There is no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship created between you and us as a result of these Legal Terms.
